Live Stats
Service health and usage statistics for Cutline's DNS resolvers.
Cutline (Combined)
The headline shows combined health and statistics from whichever resolver is busier. The tabs below show each resolver individually. Someone can appear on both lists.
About These Numbers
Distinct IPs: Count of distinct source IP addresses that queried the resolver in the last 7 days. This is not households. A household can query multiple resolvers, so this is not a unique-across-both count. The headline number shown is from whichever resolver is busier.
Latency: Median (p50) resolver processing time for the last 24 hours, from whichever resolver is busier. This measures query-in to answer-out time at the resolver, NOT last-mile network latency or browser Secure DNS overhead. See the specification for details.
Bandwidth: NIC traffic on that resolver (all ports), not query-name volume. DNS packets are small.
Privacy
The resolver reads a query name to answer it, then does not store it. After the query is over, the operator cannot look up what was asked. Source IPs are kept for 7 days for rate limits and the public distinct-IP count, then deleted. The retained data cannot reconstruct query names.
List Source
Resolvers subscribe to the Narge hostname feed athttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/dov-max/narge-spec/main/dist/narge.txt. Cutline is a reference consumer of this feed. The list updates automatically every 24 hours.
